Peer Review

I feel like the peer reviews/evaluations that we have give every one a chance to improve what they've originally written and to understand what they should and shouldn't do when writing. It's very helpful for me because I always second guess myself or completely pass over mistakes in my writing. Having another person reevaluate what I've written and honestly tell me what I have done wrong or right is a huge plus in this class that I wish my high school would provide for students.

My inability to do stuff on time.

As the title says, I'm not really known for getting things done on time, or ahead of time I guess you could say. I especially have a hard time finishing stuff that I'm not really invested in or if I recently bought a new video game. The video game part was a slightly bad decision on my part. I knew I had a document to complete, but my inner child is like "yessss, my precious" (you'd get it if you've seen Lord of The Rings). This game in particular is Shadow of Mordor. I've been wanting to play it since I first found out about it and now I have it, so I can't stop.

On a side note, my doc 3 is also hard to finish because I can barely do anything with my topic of choice. Mostly because my brain capacity has just gone waaaaay down hill over the past few weeks. Do you ever get pumped up to finish something, but when you finally get to it your brain suddenly goes into a "nope" coma? Well, that's basically what has been happening to me for a few weeks now. I'm thinking of just going somewhere without internet (to avoid Facebook and Tumblr) or video game access, so that I can get my priorities straight. I'd go camp in the forest to avoid all connections to distractions, but I literally live in the middle of a fudgin' pecan field. No forests whatsoever.

AHS or TWD?

Surprisingly, I couldn't think of something to post about since this was our first open choice post in a while. I was lucky though that as I was trying to think of anything I was scrolling through ole Fac-e-book and came across posts over what possibly could have happened to Glenn in The Walking Dead. It sparked the idea to have a little vote over two of my favorite shows. Which would you prefer or like the most? The Walking Dead or American Horror Story? Also, which season did you like the most? I'm purely going off the assumption that a lot of people watch these shows or at least watch TWD, but if you're one of the lame ones (just joshin'), what do you like to watch? 

I think Orange Is The New Black needs an honorable mention too. These women are awesome.

Periwinkle is Life

I have to admit my favorite blog was my friend Mariah's, Periwinkle. I didn't enjoy it just because I've known her for so long, but because it's the most creative and funny. I love going to her blog and finding hilarious pictures or stories that she's actually experienced. I guess it's kind of like learning new things about her without actually hearing it from her in person. Her posts were never truly serious enough to where it was boring to read, but instead very original and interesting. I actually hope that after this class is over that she'll keep the blog and continue making people laugh.

Revision Decisions

How I revise a document mostly depends upon what kind of document it is. If it's something as simple as a short writing assignment like a single paragraph I'll just reread it to make sure everything is written right grammar and content wise. If it's something like the Doc 3 assignment we were given before Thanksgiving break then I would reread it myself but also get someone else's opinion. How I revise larger assignments is a lot like how we do the whole peer evaluation thing because I like to have another persons's view on what I have written. Getting someone's advice or criticism on something helps me a lot on understanding what my document sounds like from another's point of view. It lets me know what I need to fix or leave as is.

Child vs. Adult Showdown

Not really sure if this is supposed to identify the arguments between children and adults or to explain the differences between their individual conflicts, so I'm just going to wing it. Okay, so just about everyone in the world has had some kind of conflict with their parental unit or another adult as a kid. Half of the time it's over some of the dumbest stuff too. For example, a teenager (still considered a child) could get all fussy with their mother/father for not letting them go somewhere, you know how it is, hormones and what not. Majority of the time arguments like this only last for about a day then they're being their usual self and complaining about whatever they wanted. It's nearly impossible for someone to hold a grudge over something this stupid, but sometimes there will be that one kid that has the worst temper/attitude in the world. As a kid I always knew that I'd never win an argument against my mother because she is the most stubborn person I've ever known, except for that one time she couldn't deny how adorable this stray cat was that I brought home one day. That day was a good day.

Snow in Georgia? Yeah Right.

As a child I never really interacted with other kids that much. Most of the time I either played video games or, on special occasions such as holidays, I'd play something like hide and seek with some cousins. I definitely can't relate to Dillard's story because A.) it practically never snows in Central Georgia and B.) I live in the middle of no where surrounded by only old relatives, so you can kind of guess why I was always inside. Plus, I never really liked to 'hang out' with people. I always preferred being by myself reading or something. Other times I had a pet to play with which I also preferred. I guess I just wasn't much of a people person, but I've slowly gotten used to it. I actually go places now (mostly thanks to my license).
